How Prosfora Works

1. Create Your Provider Account

Sign up and choose Offer my services. Add your experience, service area, availability, and information that helps clients understand your work.

2. Connect Stripe

Complete Stripe’s required identity, business, bank, and payout verification so you can receive payments through Prosfora.

3. Publish One Clear Service

Describe exactly what you offer, what is included and excluded, how you price it, and where you are available.

4. Discuss the Job

Message the client before accepting. Confirm the scope, price, date, location, materials, access requirements, and what counts as completion.

5. Accept the Booking or Send an Offer

When the details are clear, accept the client’s booking request or send a custom offer. The client completes the paid booking through Prosfora.

6. Complete the Work and Receive Your Payout

Complete the agreed service, follow the booking completion process, and receive your payout through Stripe.

Standard Fee on Paid Bookings

Provider Platform Fee: 10% of the service subtotal
How it is collected: Deducted from the amount otherwise payable to the provider

Example: A $100 Service Subtotal

Service subtotal: $100 CAD
Provider Platform Fee: $10 CAD
Base amount otherwise payable to the provider: $90 CAD*

*Before applicable taxes on Prosfora Fees and any refund, dispute, chargeback, reversal, or other transaction adjustment.

A separate 3% Client Platform Fee is added to the client’s checkout amount. It is not deducted from the provider’s service subtotal. Applicable taxes on Prosfora Fees may also be added where required.

Prosfora does not charge providers to register, publish standard listings, receive inquiries, or purchase leads.

Yes. There are no provider registration fees, monthly subscription fees, standard listing fees, or paid-lead fees.

No. Before accepting, you can review the job details and decide whether the request fits your services, service area, schedule, and pricing.

You may accept or decline the request before the booking is confirmed. Accept only when you are prepared to complete the agreed service.

What Happens After I Accept a Booking?

Once you accept a booking and it is confirmed, you are expected to complete the service as agreed. Prosfora does not currently provide a self-service cancellation button for confirmed bookings.

If an unexpected issue requires you to request cancellation, contact Prosfora directly at support@theprosfora.com as soon as possible.

Sending a request does not automatically cancel the booking or guarantee approval. Review the applicable booking terms and Prosfora Terms of Service for details.

Can I Offer More Than One Service?

Yes. Create a separate focused listing for each distinct service so clients can easily understand and compare your offers.

How Do I Receive Payment?

Providers must connect Stripe and complete its required verification. Payout is initiated through the platform after the booking reaches the required completion stage.

Payout timing may depend on booking status, Stripe verification, payout schedules, bank processing times, and any refund, dispute, chargeback, reserve, or payment review affecting the transaction.

Does Creating a Profile Guarantee Bookings?

No marketplace can guarantee inquiries or bookings. Results depend on client demand, location, pricing, availability, profile quality, photos, responsiveness, and reviews.

A complete profile and a clear, accurately priced listing make it easier for clients to understand your offer and decide whether it meets their needs.
