Registration
How do clients register?
Clients can create a free Prosfora account using an email address or supported login option.
After signing up, clients can add basic profile details, search for providers, message them, and add a payment method when they are ready to book a service.
Clients do not need a Stripe account.
How do providers register?
Providers create a Prosfora account and select the option to offer services.
To receive payments through Prosfora, providers must connect a Stripe account and complete Stripe’s required verification process.
This may include identity verification, business details, and bank account information for payouts.
Once the provider profile and payment setup are complete, providers can create listings and receive client inquiries.
Do providers need approval before going live?
Provider profiles and listings may be reviewed to help keep the marketplace clear, relevant, and professional.
Prosfora may review service descriptions, photos, pricing, profile completeness, and whether the listing fits the platform.
This review is intended to improve marketplace quality. It does not guarantee a provider’s workmanship, qualifications, licences, insurance, or suitability for a specific job.
Payments
Do clients need a Stripe account?
No.
Clients do not need to create or connect a Stripe account.
Clients only need to add a valid payment method, such as a credit or debit card, when booking a service.
Payments are processed through Stripe’s payment infrastructure.
Do providers need a Stripe account?
Yes.
Providers who want to receive payments through Prosfora must connect a Stripe account.
Stripe may require identity verification, bank account details, business information, and other information before payouts can be enabled.
Stripe handles payout processing according to its own verification and payout rules.
How are payments handled?
Payments are completed through Prosfora’s checkout flow and processed by Stripe.
The payment process is designed to create a clearer transaction record between the client and provider.
Prosfora does not store full client card details. Payment information is handled by Stripe.
Payment timing, payout timing, verification requirements, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks may depend on the platform payment flow, Stripe rules, bank processing times, and the details of the booking.
When do providers get paid?
Providers receive payouts according to Prosfora’s payment process and Stripe’s payout schedule.
Exact payout timing can depend on Stripe account status, verification requirements, bank processing times, payment method, and any review, refund, dispute, or chargeback process that may apply.
Does Prosfora charge a commission or service fee?
Yes.
Prosfora may apply a platform commission or service fee on completed transactions.
This fee helps support platform operations, payment processing, trust and safety systems, customer support, product development, and marketplace growth.
Any applicable fees should be shown during the transaction or payout process.
Can clients pay providers outside Prosfora?
Prosfora encourages clients and providers to keep communication, booking, and payment inside the platform.
Paying outside Prosfora may remove access to platform records, make issues harder to review, and reduce payment clarity for both sides.
Prosfora may not be able to assist with bookings, payments, disputes, cancellations, refunds, or issues that happen outside the platform.
Trust, Reviews & Responsibility
How does Prosfora build trust?
Prosfora is designed around three practical trust layers.
1. Clear provider profiles
Clients can review services, photos, pricing, experience, and local feedback before choosing a provider.
2. Direct communication
Clients and providers can message each other before booking to confirm scope, timing, price, access, materials, and expectations.
3. Job-based reviews
Reviews are connected to completed bookings, helping future clients make better decisions based on real platform activity.
Prosfora helps create a more structured hiring process, but clients and providers remain responsible for confirming the details of each job.
Are providers verified?
Providers may be required to complete Stripe verification before receiving payments.
Stripe verification helps confirm identity and payout details for payment processing purposes.
Prosfora may also review provider profiles and listings for clarity, relevance, completeness, and marketplace fit.
Verification and profile review do not guarantee workmanship, qualifications, licences, insurance, background checks, or suitability for a specific job.
Clients should review each provider carefully before booking.
Does Prosfora guarantee the quality of every provider?
No.
Prosfora helps clients discover providers, communicate directly, book services, and keep a clearer record of the transaction.
Prosfora does not guarantee the quality, outcome, safety, legality, or completion of services provided by independent service providers.
Clients should review profiles, ask questions, confirm details in writing, and make sure the provider has the right experience for the job.
For licensed, regulated, or permit-required work, clients and providers are responsible for confirming all applicable licences, permits, insurance, inspections, and legal requirements before work begins.
Does Prosfora verify licences, permits, or insurance?
Unless clearly stated otherwise, Prosfora does not verify every licence, permit, certification, insurance policy, inspection requirement, or legal requirement for every service category.
Some services may require professional licensing, permits, insurance, inspections, or compliance with local laws and regulations.
Clients and providers are responsible for confirming these requirements before agreeing to the work.
Why should communication stay inside Prosfora?
Keeping communication inside Prosfora helps both sides maintain a clearer record of the job.
This may include the scope of work, price, timing, location, access details, materials, expectations, changes, and completion details.
A clear message history can be useful if questions or issues come up later.
Jobs, Bookings & Reviews
What details should be confirmed before booking?
Before booking, clients and providers should confirm:
- What work needs to be done
- Where the job is located
- Date and time
- Price or pricing method
- Materials, tools, or special requirements
- Access instructions
- Cancellation or rescheduling expectations
- Any licence, permit, insurance, inspection, or legal requirements
- What counts as job completion
Clear details reduce misunderstandings and help both sides move forward with more confidence.
Can clients message a provider before booking?
Yes.
Direct messaging is one of the main benefits of Prosfora.
Clients can ask questions, explain the job, confirm availability, share relevant details, and decide whether the provider is the right fit before booking.
Can providers set their own prices?
Yes.
Providers can set their own rates, service prices, or pricing structure depending on the type of work they offer.
Providers are responsible for making their pricing clear and for explaining what is included or not included in the service.
Clear pricing helps clients make better decisions and helps providers attract better-quality inquiries.
How do reviews work?
Reviews are connected to completed bookings.
After a job is completed, clients may be able to leave feedback about their experience.
Reviews can help future clients understand a provider’s communication, reliability, professionalism, and service experience.
Reviews should be honest, relevant, and based on actual completed work.
What makes a strong provider profile?
Strong provider profiles usually include:
- Clear service titles
- Professional photos
- Accurate pricing
- A simple description of what is included
- Relevant experience
- Clear availability
- Fast response times
- Honest expectations
- Completed bookings and reviews
A complete profile helps clients understand what you offer before they message or book.
Issues, Cancellations & Support
What if there is a problem with a job?
If an issue comes up, clients and providers should first communicate clearly through Prosfora and try to resolve the issue directly.
If the issue cannot be resolved, Prosfora support may review available platform records and guide both sides through the next steps.
Prosfora does not act as a court, insurer, contractor, employer, or guarantor of the service outcome.
Keeping communication and payment inside Prosfora makes issue review easier.
What if a provider does not show up?
If a provider does not show up, the client should contact the provider through Prosfora first.
If there is no response or the issue cannot be resolved, the client can contact Prosfora support with the booking details and message history.
Prosfora support may review available platform records and guide the next steps according to the platform’s process.
What if a client changes the job details?
If the scope of work changes, both sides should confirm the new details before continuing.
This may include a new price, updated timing, extra materials, different access needs, or a different completion expectation.
Changes should be written clearly in the message thread before the work continues.
How do cancellations or refunds work?
Cancellation and refund handling may depend on the booking details, timing, provider terms, payment status, and Prosfora’s payment process.
Clients and providers should review and confirm the agreed details before booking.
If a dispute happens, Prosfora support may review available platform records and guide both sides through the applicable process.
Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and payout adjustments may also be affected by Stripe rules, bank processing times, and payment network requirements.
Getting Started
How can clients get started?
Clients can start by searching for the service they need, comparing provider profiles, and messaging a local professional.
A good first message should include:
- What needs to be done
- Where the job is located
- Preferred timing
- Photos or details, if helpful
- Any special requirements
- Any licence, permit, insurance, or access concerns
The clearer the request, the easier it is for providers to respond accurately.
How can providers get started?
Providers can create a profile, connect Stripe, add services, upload quality photos, and write clear descriptions.
The best provider profiles make it easy for clients to understand:
- What you offer
- What is included
- How pricing works
- Where you work
- When you are available
- What experience you have
- What clients should expect before booking
Providers are responsible for offering services they are qualified and legally permitted to provide.
